Samagra Shah is a visual storyteller and documentary filmmaker from Nepal. His work allows him to connect with people’s experiences and understand their relationship with animals and nature. Through his work,  he hopes to bring attention to untold perspectives, blending personal narratives with broader societal concerns.

A nine-month fellowship by photo.circle supporting visual storytellers to explore and challenge notions of "development" and "prosperity" in Nepal's current models.

International Storytelling Workshop (2022)
A three-month workshop organized by Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway, Pathshala Institute, Bangladesh, and photo.circle, Nepal.

Global Media Makers - Documentary Film Workshop (2022)
A four-day workshop with Nepali filmmakers and global mentors, organized by the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival in collaboration with Film Independent, USA.

Toni Hagen Foundation Documentary Grant (2022)
’Wagging Tale’ received the grant and mentorship from Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival.

Multimedia Fellow - THE SKIN OF CHITWAN (2020)
A Nepal Picture Library project reimagining conversations on indigeneity, climate change, traditional knowledge, development, sustainability, and indigenous futurity through storytelling and research.

Introduction to Storytelling Workshop (2019)
